AES Encryption support

Hi All,

It is great to see Microsoft providing first hand support for SQL Lite which provides much better storage size than the default SQL Compact 3.5 (Size limit as 512 MB). But does this version provides the database encryption facility (like AES) ? There are some library like SQLCipher(only for Android. The WP8 edition is costly) that supports these libraries on SQLLite. Can this facility also be included in this library. With Many banking application needing more larger and secure storage facilities, it would be great if MS openTech can provide this also?

Thanks and regards

The current package depends on the precompiled binaries published on www.sqlite3.org . Unfortunately, the implementation for the required APIs are not included in the public release, as it states in the sqlite3.h header file comments for the sqlite3_key, sqlite3_key_v2, sqlite3_rekey, sqlite3_rekey_v2 methods:

"The code to implement this API is not available in the public release of SQLite."
